Bob Levi and his sons, Mitchell and Griffin, had an absolute blast catching large lemon sharks!
Visiting from Weston CT for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Levi guys thought catch-and-release shark fishing would be fun to add to their extensive worldwide fishing adventures.
It was a windy day (which you’ll see by the ripple on the surface of the water), but the shallow-water spot where I fish for sharks is well protected from the wind by tiny mangrove islands.
Today, the sharks were larger than normal and very aggressive. Also, we retrieved two tags from the Mote Marine research facility in Sarasota FL. This all leads me to believe we had migrating sharks today in addition to our resident sharks we encounter on all our trips.
It made for some very exciting action as the sharks attacked the baits on the stringer at the side of the boat …

Bob, Mitchell and Griffin caught and released a total of 15 lemon sharks, with double and triple hook-ups and lengthy fights the norm for today.
