The MacKenzie family – Tracy, Kim, Lexie and Haley – traveled all the way from Nova Scotia to celebrate Tracy’s birthday in Marathon Florida Keys!
Although, I don’t think the rest of the family objected to the warm, sunny Keys as Tracy’s choice.
The wind was blowing more than I like, but I decided to try our luck on some patch reefs anyway. The crew caught porgy, hogfish, mutton and yellowtail snapper.
When it got too bumpy for anyone’s comfort, I headed into picturesque Sister’s Creek in search of redfish.
We were rewarded with one very nice specimen – caught by Haley – along with a tidy bunch of delicious mangrove snapper.
All-in-all, a fantastic trip with tasty rewards!
