Three generations of the Borkoski family, from Pickerington OH, had a blast doing some shallow-water shark wrangling in the Florida Keys!
A day before their tenth birthday, twins Michael and Matthew each landed three lemon sharks up to about seven or eight feet in length. Mom Lisa and dad Steve landed another three, while Grandparents Shirley and Everest Borkoski filled out the baker’s dozen.
The sharks have gotten so large and so aggressive already this year, they attack our bait stringer attached to the side of the boat. I have to hang on to it so as not to have it taken away by one of our toothy friends.
Our deckhand, Jason Bell, does an awesome job assisting the anglers for this action-packed catch-and-release fishing.
Today, Steve also lended a hand to his sons.
As today’s group proves, shark fishing is excellent entertainment for anglers of all ages and abilities. We use light tackle and circle hooks, and all fish are released unharmed.
