Capt. Alex has a diversified fishing career, with experience as a private boat Captain, a commercial fisherman and lobsterman. His talents cover the gamut of Keys fishing, including sailfish, offshore for dolphin and tuna, the reefs and wrecks and more. The original Blue Magic was lost in Hurricane Irma in September 2017. In 2018, Capt. Alex and his friend and deckhand, Steve Steenstra, formed a partnership and purchased the current Blue Magic.

Scott spent his law enforcement career as a marine patrol as well as dive rescue/recovery team. Scott joined the SeaSquared crew in 2022 captaining the Beagle excursion boat.
