Dinner and a show for the Foster family

Chantal Foster and her boys, TJ and Zach, extended their annual fishing trip with us to a three-quarter day this year.

The family has fished with us since we started chartering back in 2006.  Chantal is a gourmet cook and loves to make fresh snapper dinner for her family while they vacation in Key Colony Beach from Connecticut every April.  The boys were ready for a challenge, so we chose one of our combo snapper/shark fishing adventures.

Unfortunately for Chantal, the snapper fishing was on the slow side although the crew managed to catch enough for at least a tasty appetizer.  The shark fishing was anything but slow, and Chantal now fears the boys will want to do nothing else!  TJ soared to the head of the pack and landed nine lemon sharks, while his brother Zach caught two and Grandpa Ted brought four to the boat.  It should be noted Zach was coping with a broken arm and Chantal was battling “snow shovel shoulder.”

All the lemon sharks were in the 5- to 7.5-foot class, and all were released unharmed.
