Naples father-son duo get some of the last grouper in the Florida Keys for 2010

Scott Douglas and his son, Andrew, lay claim to snapper, grouper and more!

Marathon Florida Keys Fishing Report – Capt. Chris Johnson, SeaSquared Charters – December 23, 2010

A short pre-Christmas getaway to their home in Summerland Key for the Douglas clan included a trip with me on the SeaSquared.  Fish-head Christopher had to stay behind due to a flu bug, but dad Scott and Andrew got out for some great catching!

We spent the day on the channel humps, where there were all the Spanish mackerel anyone could possibly want!  Scott and Andrew also wore out their arms with countless grouper.  In the end, the pair brought in a 24-inch black grouper, a 20-inch red grouper, a giant porgy and a slew of mangrove, yellowtail and lane snapper.

All but the mackerel went back to Naples to enjoy during the holidays.  I smoked the macks for Scott to share with family and friends.
